  • OEM fixture Manufacturers

    • 1. Will current North American Digital Systems OEM customers need to purchase through an Acuity OEM Agent?

      Your ordering experience is not changing. The order management and processing will go through the existing customer service teams that you work with today.
    • 2. What is the driver production process moving forward? Will any changes disrupt my supply or lead times?

      The acquired Digital Systems products will continue to be manufactured at the same facility using the same team, machines, processes, and goods. Worldwide, there are supply shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors. As with its other products, Acuity Brands will work to mitigate these shortages to the extent possible. If an interruption should occur, we will communicate via phone or email so customers can plan accordingly.
    • 3. Are there any changes to my sales account team?

      We value customer relationships and plan to keep the current account teams in place. You will continue to work with the same account team that has served your account before this transition.
    • 4. What products did Acuity Brands acquire from the ams OSRAM North American Digital Systems business?

      Acuity Brands acquired LED drivers, LED light engines, and certain connected components. To learn more about each predominant product family, please visit the following links: OPTOTRONIC®, QUICKTRONIC®, PrevaLED®, and DEXAL®.
    • 5. Where can I find specification sheets and product information about the North American Digital Systems products?

      In the short term, select product information continues to be available at https://www.osram.us/ds/.

      In approximately six (6) months, the product information will transition to the Acuity Brands website and the OEM Solutions website. Customers will be notified once the website transition is complete.

    • 6. After July 1st, where do I mail my payments?

      Customers will receive a complete welcome kit from Acuity Brands with payment information included. If, for any reason, you have not received your kit, please contact us at 1-800-922-9641. Also, payment information is listed below for your convenience.

  • Lighting Agencies and Electrical Distributors

    • 1. Will lighting agents be able to sell North American DS?

      No, Acuity Brands does not currently sell components (except for IOTA products) through our Independent Sales Network and this will not change. OEM Agents currently representing the ams OSRAM North American Digital Systems business will continue to support those sales based on their current regions. Acuity OEM Agents will continue selling eldoLED® products.
    • 2. How will this acquisition impact Acuity’s technology developments? Will the new drivers be ready to implement into existing products?

      This acquisition will allow Acuity to accelerate its technology development while extending our LED driver portfolio. Yes, the drivers are currently used in many of our existing products and solutions.
    • 3. Where can I find specification sheets and product information about the North American Digital Systems products?

  • Lighting Designers

    • 1. Will the acquired ams OSRAM North American Digital Systems products enable nLight® controls similar to eldoLED® drivers?

      Not yet, but it is on our interconnectivity roadmap. Our goal is to continue to expand in-luminaire digital connectivity. We intend to use the acquisition of the ams OSRAM North American Digital Systems business to accelerate our product creation and provide our industry with the most comprehensive portfolio of in-luminaire technology and LED drivers.
    • 2. Will the acquired Digital Systems products and brands be part of the specification development program like eldoLED®?

      Acuity Brands plans to continue leveraging the eldoLED® brand for its specification strength. We will continue to assess and analyze our roadmap to identify additional opportunities for the specification space.
    • 3. Will I be able to select which driver is embedded into the luminaire I purchase?

      Yes, lighting designers will have the option to select their preferred driver from the options provided on specification sheets. We encourage lighting designers to review our LED product offerings for their purchase decisions. Acuity Customer Service support is also available to assist you in selecting the best products for your design needs.
