The HMSC~174; luminaire is designed for lighting large areas such as roadways, port facilities, airports, water treatment plants, parking lots, rail yards and storage areas.
Construction: Low copper content die cast aluminum housings provide base corrosion protection. Hinged and gasketed door with four stainless steel latches protects reflector and lens from environmental contaminants and permits easy re-lamping. Adjustable clamp for mounting on 2" pipe allows for +/-3 degree leveling. Effective projected area (EPA) shall exceed 2.02 square feet.~13;~10;

~13;~10;Electrical System: Holophane manufactured high power factor, copper wound ballast that provides full rated wattage to the lamp. Reliable starting to -40~176; F. Starter for HPS lamps is fully encapsulated. A protected starter is available that senses an inoperative or missing lamp and automatically removes itself from the circuit, preventing damage to the ballast. All ballast components are mounted to a unitized assembly with quick disconnects for ease of maintenance.
