Sensorview 9 release Notes

SensorView 9 is a major release containing new device support and many improvements.  A more powerful version of device replace has been introduced, as well as full support for offline programming of a network.

Device replace was improved by removing the prior restriction that a device could only be replaced by another of the same type, any type of device can now replace an offline device; with all applicable programming being copied over. Offline programming allows a user to view and modify a network’s configuration and synchronize with the device network once it’s reconnected. Note that you can view any legacy SensorView database by importing it, however you cannot make changes, export the modified database, and reimport back it into an older SensorView.

A brief tutorial on replace and offline programming is also available.

Overview of changes:

New Devices supported:
* nEPS60
* add support for nPODM-2LAB
* add support for nIO-LED-EZB
* add support for nWSX-DX series with photocell disabled by default

New Feature:
* Generic device replacement

* Removed “Save Defaults and Apply Now” button on Network Management -> Settings, the “Save Defaults” button now also updates current settings
* Display schedules for offline devices on properties page
* Profile Scheduler: Re-labeled Recurrence” with “Run”
* Profile Scheduler: highlight weekly day checkbox table border when none are checked

sensorview 8.4 release notes

SensorView patch containing various bug fixes and additional device support.

Notes

This version of SensorView added new device support and contains significant BACnet improvements regarding polling. No longer does SensorView strongly recommend change of value support, the BACnet component can be configured to automatically convert dynamic polling into internal change of value reports, and will serve up cached data that is periodically updated. Sensorview 8.3 release notes

SensorView patch containing various bug fixes and a redesigned registration process.

This version of SensorView was accompanied by an update to the installation application. Registration was moved from an install step into SensorView. As a result a new, 8.3 or newer, installation package is unable to install versions of SensorView older than 8.3; however, the distribution format is backwards compatible, so an old installation package can still install an 8.3, or newer, version of SensorView.

New Feature:

* Allow overwriting of unrecognized model names

Improvement

* Add requirement to register SensorView before allowing firmware updates

* Add gateway logs to SensorView diagnostic report

sensorview 7.1 release notes

SensorView 7.1 contains major improvements for the SensorView interface, as well as additional support for hardware.

Support for nGWY2 and nWifi devices have been added into SensorView; as well as support for global channels for networks
of both types, note that Global Channels are unavailable for nGWY1 networks. Additionally Green Screen now supports
savings calculations for all nIO LED based devices; note that the load for the device will automatically be populated to
45W for LED devices, if this is incorrect then the value can be modified as needed from the device’s properties page.

Additionally SensorView received a major upgrade to the user interface. The groups tab has been removed and replaced
with the ability to select multiple devices, when appropriate, directly from the Network Tree. The device search feature
that was introduced in SensorView 6.0 has also been expanded to allow for searching based on device features, previously
in groups, devices in existing profiles, and device states; these are available by clicking on the arrow to the right of the existing device search field.
A new tab was also added, “Group Settings”, that allows the user to perform bulk
operations on the entire network. This includes setting defaults, resolving mismatched states,
setting baselines for IM devices, and rediscovering devices; note that the length of an operation depends on
the number of devices selected and may take awhile to complete.

Finally, please note that SensorView 7.1.136 contains a major change to the application update process. Upgrade from all previous
versions of SensorView, and going forward, will require the SensorView installer; application updates can no longer
be performed via the SensorView web interface. The Overview and Updates page will continue to provide notices once
upgrades become available, but they cannot be performed via the web page. Download the SensorView installer at www.sensorswitch.com/install/setup.zip,
select “Modify”, followed by “Next”, it will prompt if you want to upgrade. If performing a new install perform the installation as normal.

sensorview 7.1 release notes

Release notes for SensorView 7.1.136

SensorView 7.1.136 contains major improvements for the SensorView interface, as well as additional support for hardware.  Support for nGWY2 and nWifi devices have been added into SensorView; as well as support for global channels for networks of both types, note that Global Channels are unavailable for nGWY1 networks. Additionally Green Screen now supports savings calculations for all nIO LED based devices; note that the load for the device will automatically be populated to 45W for LED devices, if this is incorrect then the value can be modified as needed from the device’s properties page.

Additionally SensorView received a major upgrade to the user interface. The groups tab has been removed and replaced with the ability to select multiple devices, when appropriate, directly from the Network Tree. The device search feature that was introduced in SensorView 6.0 has also been expanded to allow for searching based on device features, previously in groups, devices in existing profiles, and device states; these are available by clicking on the arrow to the right of the existing device search field.  A new tab was also added, “Group Settings”, that allows the user to perform bulk
operations on the entire network. This includes setting defaults, resolving mismatched states, setting baselines for IM devices, and rediscovering devices; note that the length of an operation depends on the number of devices selected and may take awhile to complete.

Finally, please note that SensorView 7.1.136 contains a major change to the application update process. Upgrade from all previous versions of SensorView, and going forward, will require the SensorView installer; application updates can no longer be performed via the SensorView web interface. The Overview and Updates page will continue to provide notices once upgrades become available, but they cannot be performed via the web page. Download the SensorView installer at www.sensorswitch.com/install/setup.zip,
select “Modify”, followed by “Next”, it will prompt if you want to upgrade. If performing a new install perform the installation as normal.
