Codes, regulations and government programs all have the potential to affect the type of lighting products customers need to comply with the federal, state and local ordinances.

Acuity Brands actively works with federal, state and regional organizations to help guide them to make prudent policy decisions. We are a member company of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and an active technical advisor to the USGBC. We actively participate in the development of national and state energy codes and sustainability standards through ASHRAE, IESNA, Alliance to Save Energy, DOE’s Rebuild America Program, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency and the U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR® program.
